GDPR for HR Professionals by PowerImage / MISCO Cyprus

As a specialized HRM consultancy company with over a decade of experience and a strong team of experts, PowerImage / MISCO Cyprus on the 17th of April 2018, successfully presented to Human Resources Managers and Professionals the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force on the 25th of May 2018. The Regulation poses a major challenge for Human Resource Professionals, who daily handle and process personal data of either existing employees or prospective employees and candidates. Due to demand, the seminar was repeated on the 27th of April in Nicosia. Furthermore, the seminar will be conducted in Limassol in Greek, on the 10th of May, 2017.

The various aspects of GDPR related to Human Resource Professionals were presented at this Informative Seminar, aiming at providing general information regarding the Regulation and creating awareness.

Attendees had the opportunity to be informed on the basic principles in order to understand their own role within the framework of the Regulation. Key issues such as Keys Players and key terms such as “personal data”, “data processing” and “protection of personal data” have been presented in accordance with the Regulation. Among the most important issues that were presented was the Employee’s consent as well as issues related to recruitment, time and attendance procedures in the workplace as well as the rights of the employees which the Human Resources Professionals need to understand.

Also, during the part of the Questions and Answers, an interesting discussion was held on various topics where attendees had the opportunity to raise their concerns about the challenges that Human Resources Professionals will face during the implementation of the Regulation.
