The Art of Storytelling for Leaders – 06 July, 2018

Description
To drive growth, a leader needs to develop and deliver powerful messages that give people reasons to get excited about the vision. One tool which can be used is Storytelling. It is a tool that helps engage hearts and minds and immediate action. In an age of distraction where people’s attention is constantly on phones and tablets, stories give people a reason to keep listening to your message. They help people remember your important point. A vision such as, “we need to grow by 15 percent” is an abstract statement. It’s not going to inspire people. But a story sticks, and a great story is something that people will share, spreading your vision.

Storytelling is not a nice-to-do activity, but a must-do essential for leaders looking to make great things happen. It is also a skill that can be learnt and developed, and through this course attendees will have the opportunity to understand the fundamentals of storytelling and to practice a technique based on the Bates Story Structure.
